A surprise party has been organised to say farewell to our Rector and his wife.
Held at The Masonic Hall.
Thursday 23rd October @ 7.30pm.

Harvest Festival 2008
A
fantastic service was held in both churches where we all celebrated the
thanksgiving for harvest. Many parcels were received which were
distributed throughout the parish.
Many thanks go to those who brought parcels along to both services and to the helpers who distributed them.
The Retirement of Rev. Canon John G D Oeppen
Sunday
21st September 2008 saw the final services of the Rector, ending 22
years of service in the parish and 41 years of stipendiary ministry
within the diocese of Llandaff.
The rector's last eucharist
with us welcomed a great number of people who had been touched by his
ministry. At Evensong, the Right Rev. David Yeoman, Assistant
Bishop of Llandaff gave a moving and relevant address thanking Canon
Oeppen for all his work and wishing him every success in his retirement.
We
as a parish would wish to echo the Bishop's sentiments, and although we
will miss our rector, we do wish him and his wife, Janet, a long and
happy retirement.
